We recently collaborated with Myron Interior Design firm on a unique project featuring outdoor panels. These panels are made from robust outdoor fabric which is very durable.
The outdoor panels are fully operational and mounted on 1 ⅜” metal rods. The patio ceiling’s slight slope (3” lower at the front for drainage) posed a unique challenge. After thorough measurements and discussions with the designer, we adjusted the back side panels to be 2” shorter than those at the front, while maintaining the rods parallel to the ceiling.
The striking yellow contrast banding is visible from both sides, and we hand-stitched the front side of the banding to ensure that the seam lines were invisible, presenting a seamless appearance. Initially, the tiebacks appeared flimsy due to the stiff fabric. To address this, we incorporated cording and inserted buckram for a cleaner, more structured look. This adjustment enhanced the functionality and accentuated the vivid colors, making them focal points of the design.
We are incredibly proud of the outcome of this project, and the adjustments made during the installation have truly paid off, showcasing our commitment to excellence and attention to detail.
