Privacy was more of a concern than light control for this traditional, elegant design. Drapery Designs will always go the extra mile when it comes to customer satisfaction, so we made a mock sample Austrian shades to determine the appropriate fullness for optimum privacy. We settled on 350% fullness- the generous gathers filter the light while the providing adequate privacy at night. The arch window was a particularly challenging design, the swags had to be fabricated precisely for a delicate arch and perfect coverage. The swags were cut on the bias for an elegant drape, and all material came from previously existing panels. The classic design was continued in the bedroom with layered valances for multi-dimensional depth.
